When I began creating content to help promote my books, the first thing I bought was a ring light. I couldn’t afford much else in the form of equipment. I didn’t want to invest too much money because I wasn’t really making any. Of course, what you put into something is what you will get out of it. I often vlog from my car and great sound quality is a must when doing voice overs. There are creators who only use their cell phones to create content. I’m not saying you can’t get started just using just your phone. Still, when you look your best, you feel your best. There’s no better feeling than being confident that you are producing quality content.
